QUALIFICATIONS:
The association has previously been somewhat restricted to professionals.  It is now open to all who are interested in the space sciences and related disciplines.  We are particularly interested in those who are students, educators and scientists, but the association also wishes to encourage all who are serious and wish to learn more about this great adventure of Humankind.  Membership is also open to our many friends in other countries.  We want to encourage everyone to be a part of this important undertaking, so that you can take full advantage of everyting from "personal telescope time" to other forms of participation.  (Of course membership is not required to just look at this web site.  Membership is a privilege, not a requirement.)

PROCESS:
Applying for membership is as simple as addressing and properly posting an envelope with the inclusion of your name and address and phone number (type or hand print clearly) and your e-mail address, if you have one.  The envelope should also contain the grand total of $30 (USD) for a full year of membership.  This will help to cover the mailings and other expenses involved for that period.

APPLICATION ADDRESS:
Checks should be made out to "American Communication Arts" which serves as the association's representative.  Write "Astrophysics" in the memo line of the check.  Send the envelope, with enclosures, to:  "American Communication Arts - 1804 Garnet Ave. - #377 - San Diego, CA 92109 - USA.

ADVANTAGE:
You will be duly registered.  You will be sent an official membership card.  You will be sent special association mailings from time to time.  YOU WILL BE GIVEN YOUR OWN PERSONAL TELESCOPE TIME ON A PROFESSIONAL TELESCOPE (accessed through the Internet).  All communications from you will received priority treatment.  You will be given a direct line phone number to our office (through A.C.A.).  You will be able to be included in any membership polls on related science issues.  You will be offered special invitations for any association events that might occur in or near your geographic location.  All association participations will be open to you.

IN CONCLUSION:
We invite you to make this a significant part of your life.  We want you to share in the great adventure of discovery.  And, in advance, we want to thank you for your serious interest.  You may be a scientist or a student.  You may be from America or from Asia or Europe.  You may be young or old, man or woman.  It doesn't matter from where or who you are.  What does matter is that you wish to follow the great quest of our species --- out into the Universe.

   We welcome you.

We're in touch so that you can keep in touch.
